I am a University student studying Chemical Engineering. I did Physics, Chemistry and Maths at A level and managed to get a spot on one of the most competitive courses. Only finishing A levels recently, I can really relate to students, and know how to get through the tough times. I practice all kinds of revision methods and love coming up with creative new techniques tailored to each student. I best teach pupils that struggle with the Maths side of Science, but I can help with everything.
I have tutored numerous students over the previous 3 and a half years. This has included both GCSE and A Level, for sciences and maths. Having worked prior to and during the pandemic, I have learnt to be a pretty flexible tutor. I have seen great success from my previous students and truly enjoy the tutoring experience.
I like to work through the specification with the student making sure they're prepared for anything to come up. So, unless they have a specific area they want to cover that week, I will just plan using the specification. For online lessons, I prepare slides on the topic and practice questions. Setting questions for homework also gives insight into how the pupil is progressing and I think an invaluable tool to confirm all the hard work we do together.
I studied WJEC for all my exams but have tutored AQA, EDEXCEL and OCR sciences and maths.
