Hi there! I am a student that was under performing until I came across a teacher that changed my life. From there, I fell in love with Maths and Science and now, 7 years down the line, I'm pursuing a PhD in engineering. I want to be that person which changes students' lives and makes them love Science. My aim is always to prepare you to achieve the best exam grades possible. However, I also want to show you the beauty of the sciences and mathematics. I often draw real-life examples and scenarios. Although I am a relaxed person, I will still set homework and tasks which challenge you and help you to grow. My tutoring experience started early as I began to help fellow students with their exam preparation at GCSE and A-level. Right after graduating from A-level, I began private tutoring for students preparing for A-level maths. Those students and I enjoyed working together and I ended up tutoring them all the way up to second year of university. Along the way, I have tutored others to help them prepare for GCSE/Scottish Highers Chemistry, Maths and Physics. I've also taken on teaching assistant roles in the University of Leeds and the University of Aberdeen during my time there. Each of these experiences has been extremely rewarding. I see myself as a good communicator, so to use this skill along with my passion for science is something I will enjoy forever.
I like to prepare my students by following the syllabus in a systematic way. I set weekly goals, a typical goal would be to finish a chapter or part of a chapter. After every lesson I set a homework which is then discussed at the beginning of the next lesson. Of course, the first lesson is taken to gain an idea of the student's level and set the pace for the next few lessons.
