Hi, I'm Abi a fourth year medical student and I tutor biology, chemistry and maths
I am available to tutor GCSE or A-level biology and chemistry. I achieved an A* in all sciences and maths at GCSE and am currently doing a degree in medicine which has improved my knowledge further and also allowed me to gain more experience in teaching younger people. I am very friendly and take a student-centred approach, ensuring to engage the student in learning so they reach their full potential.
I have previously tutored GCSE level biology and chemistry. Previous students achieved at least a B in both sciences at GCSE. I have also been involved in mentoring at university with younger years.
I will prepare the session beforehand making sure to tailor it to each student's needs after an initial session to discuss what the student wants to concentrate on. I will ensure that I know the exam specification well so the revision can be tailored to their exam board as well as looking into their learning style and helping with revision techniques.
I did AQA science at GCSE and OCR at A level but also have experience with WJEC in my French and German GCSE’s. I am also confident in tutoring for other exam boards, particularly for biology, including WJEC.
