Masters in Chemistry Candidate
Hi! I am currently in my final year of studying for my undergraduate degree in chemistry at Southampton University. While I could not love my degree more, as a student I always found the teaching to not fit my learning styles and for a long time found my ability unnoticed (even by myself). I work really hard to encourage student’s abilities and to allow them to develop their skills and achieve what they truly are capable of!
I am patient, understanding and friendly at all times. I empathise strongly with the stresses of exams and studying and will always be happy to go through questions as often as required.
Lessons will be tailored to the student’s learning style and primarily target weak points in knowledge. I am here to target errors in understanding and to help students find ways to retain knowledge. They are flexible and open to changes if the student has concerns about anything during their classes. I strongly believe in practice making perfect so will provide plenty of questions during the lessons and more for revision aid, as well as boosting exam technique.
A level: OCR Salters A and B, AQA GCSE: AQA for Science, Edexcel for Maths
Tutored multiple chemistry A- level students onto chemistry subjects: including biochemistry, chemistry and biomedical sciences. I have brought a student’s grades up from an E to an A, and have tutored two students onto their medicine degree. I have worked with some younger students with specific learning requirements from year 9 to year 11.
