I studied 4 A-levels before university including Maths (A*), Biology (A*), RE (A*), and Chemistry (A), in addition to an EPQ (A*). I also enjoy extracurricular activities, I play both guitar and ukulele to a high standard and enjoy watching the football (a Sunderland fan). Having recently completed my own GCSEs and A-levels, I understand both the academic demands and pressures students face, which helps me build strong rapport and support them effectively - helping them to do the best they can.

I have nearly six years’ experience tutoring GCSE Mathematics and Science, including working with students in Years 10 and 11 through TutorSpot. I have supported a wide range of learners and consistently helped students improve their confidence, understanding, and exam performance. I am particularly strong at breaking down complex concepts into clear, logical steps, identifying gaps in understanding, and adapting explanations to suit different learning styles. Overall, I believe I’m a well rounded tutor who can effectively help you make great strides in your learning!

My lessons are very student based. I come prepared with resources and materials, with lessons planned as well - but if the student would like to focus on a particular area, we'll move straight to that. My lessons are problem solving based, with the focus on the student figuring out the answer for themselves with some guidance from me - but I will of course step in and help them if they get stuck. My aim is not just short-term improvement, but long-term confidence and understanding, helping students to not only grasp concepts but also develop skills which will better their future learning.
