Hi! I am a 2nd year Italian Aerospace Engineering student at University ready to help you with Math & Physics, and Italian!
I have tutored high school and middle school students in Math and Physics several times. I'm currently studying Engineering, meaning I really enjoy those subjects and their application. I understand they can get a bit tricky sometimes though. But don't worry, I am here to help. We will start by identifying what's the main issue (can't understand the theory or concepts? the application? how to use the formulas?) and figuring out a plan to address it. I will teach you how to approach exercises with a method; we will start together and you will gradually be able to solve any problem by yourself! Even if I didn't study in the UK before University, I know what GCSE are and how they work; I understand what Math and Physics at GCSE level include, I am familiar with all the topics and I will be happy to set a study plan with the student to help them prepare for their exams in the best way possible. I am bilingual and my mother tongue is Italian; I would love to tutor students of any level interested in learning the language!
I have tutored middle school and high school students in Math, Physics, and English. I have also prepared a student for their Italian high school final exam (Maturità), consisting of a 6hrs combined Math&Physics paper. I believe I am a good tutor because instead of just explaining the topics and going through exercises I primarily focus the lesson on what the student needs, while making sure all the material is covered.
Before each lesson I will make sure to know the requirements for both the level I'll be tutoring and the exam board each student is studying for. Each math/physics lesson would cover one topic from start to end: the theory and concepts, stressing those that are more confusing for the student, formulas and their applications, exercises. Before moving to the next step I would make sure the student feels comfortable with what has just been covered. Exercises are first explained with examples so that a general solving method can be identified, then done together with the student, and finally solved by the student without my help (both during the lesson and as homework).
The students I have tutored have managed to raise their grades in their tests, and, most importantly, have shown understanding of the topics covered during the lessons.
