Friendly Oxford medical student offering KS3 and GCSE maths and science tuition.
It's important for students to be able to grow and improve their confidence in themselves and their abilities so my goal is not only to help them to achieve their full academic potential but also to enable them to become successful, independent and well-rounded individuals. For this reason, my teaching style is very flexible and is adapted for every student so that we can work specifically on any topics they are struggling with and make the most effective use of our time together.
I've successfully tutored a number of GCSE students in English, Math and Science as well as helped to run workshops in A level Math and Chemistry for students from upper and lower sixth. I was recently able to coach a number of students through the BMAT and prepare others for their medical school interviews. I also have experience working with younger children, volunteering with the RLSS and scout association to teach important life skills to children as young as 8. Furthermore I've had a role to play in educating my younger siblings, helping them with their homework and aiding them with their understanding of difficult topics throughout KS1 and 2, as well as giving them revision tips, advice and guidance as they enter KS3.
I like to run my sessions according to my students and their preferences so my teaching style is very flexible and adapted to every student. This means we can work specifically on any topics they are struggling with and make the most effective use of our time together. Regarding homework, this is also up to my pupils and so tends to depend on whether they feel they would benefit from the extra practice, and on if they feel they have the time to complete it. Our sessions can be catered to the needs of each student
