Shamas K

Experienced, professional tutor who achieved AAA grades in biology, chemistry and physics. I can help you excel in these subjects at GCSE and KS3 level and achieve 8s or 9s. Tuition when I was a pupil was vital to my success and I would like to give back now!

I have years of GCSE/ KS3 science tutoring experience in person in London and Birmingham. I also have 6 months experience as a teaching assistant. I have mentoring experience whereby I supervised younger medical students at UCL.

The way I plan lessons is by understanding that each student is unique in their learning needs. I assess during the first lesson with past papers. This is to see what stage the student is at, their strengths and weaknesses and how I can help them achieve optimum grades. I would then use techniques such as consolidation of knowledge to empower students to pass their exams.

Very experienced. AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I am organised, knowledgable and effective at using the exam syllabus to help pupils improve their subject knowledge and therefore their exam grades.

Top grades achieved and gone on to do well in science subjects e.g. some students went on to study medicine and dentistry at top universities in the UK. I have also helped struggling students to achieve high pass grades.
