2nd year law student at the University of Liverpool
University student with 4 years of tutoring experience in primary, secondary and A-level content. Main expertise in English but I teach maths as well.
I offer 1:1 sessions specifically catered to the student. This is executed through a range of methods including regular testing, skills based lessons and constant reference to the exam boards advice. I have found that this method works well and have pushed low achieving students to get top grades. My most recent student went from a grade 4 in English literature to a grade 8.
I create lesson plans for all my students. A regular lesson consists of 3 stages; a starter which introduces or refreshes the student on the topic. The next stage is the teaching section where the content or skill is discussed. I then proceed with an activity to check their understanding.
