I am currently the deputy Head of year for years 7and 8 in my school. I have 5 years of tutoring experience working with students of various ages and levels. I tailor my sessions to suit each student’s learning pace and needs—using diagnostic questions, interactive discussions, and real-world examples to make lessons relatable and effective. I believe in fostering a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas.

I start with an initial assessment during the first session to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals. Based on this, I create a personalized lesson plan outlining key topics, learning objectives, and practice activities. Each lesson includes clear explanations, interactive practice, and a short recap. I often provide optional homework or revision tasks to reinforce learning and track progress over time.

I am familiar with several major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR. I tailor my lessons to align with the specific exam formats, marking criteria, and syllabus requirements to ensure my students are fully prepared and confident for their assessments.

In my school,I was handed over to certain students who really needed help,all of them were in set 4 for maths then, but within a short period of time ,great improvement was seen in their performance which landed them in set 2 after they did an assessment and my department was very happy with my approach to teaching which made them put more people on board for a massive shift.
