Hi there! My name is Phillipa. I am a friendly and approachable person with a passion for teaching my subjects.
I have been teaching for a number of years and have great experience in a variety of school settings. I have fantastic pass rates and would love to help enrich as many young minds as possible.
I am an experienced classroom teacher with specialisms in Religious Studies, Philosophy and Sociology as well as Key Stage 3 English. I have also tutored privately in small group and one-to-one settings.
When lesson planning, I like to keep up to date with current pedagogical research to make sure I am always teaching in new and effective ways. Plans for each session are tailor-made and individual to the needs of the student I am teaching.
I am a Team Leader for AQA's Religious Studies GCSE, with my particular specialisms in Christianity, Islam and Buddhism.
In my sixth year of teaching I can happily say that not a single one of my students has ever failed. Students generally achieve their target grade and there are many instances where my examining experience has helped students to achieve even higher than their predictions.
