Hello! My name is Moli and I am from Cardiff, studying to be a Physician Associate in Aberdeen University. I have experience teaching KS2 and KS3 English, Maths and Science, as well as second language Welsh. I especially teach Biology, Chemistry and Welsh at GCSE. I like to take the time to make sure that my students understand their subject matter, by looking at plenty of diagrams or using repetition and building confidence. I know how important these things have been in my educational journey. I also like to bring my students' own interests into the lessons where possible. I have experience working with children of different ages and abilities, across a language barrier, and have volunteered with children with serious illnesses as well.

I have some experience teaching family and friends, but most of my experience comes from teaching in Cambodia on a VSO project - English and lifeskills, as well as more recently on GoStudent as an online tutor.

My usual method is to plan a lesson using a word document that I then screenshare. The document can then be sent to the student after the lesson. The document will usually have plenty of diagrams, space to draw on the document and do other exercises that I do in the session. If the student is new, I try and prepare something that I can level up or down based on their understanding. Then I can swap to Google to find other diagrams if necessary, or youtube videos - for example of a scientific experiment being performed.

I did AQA for most of my science. I don't have much familiarity with all the exam boards but have recently been teaching GCSE science for AQA and OCR, and I know how to find the specifications and past papers etc.
