I am currently a primary school teacher teaching children across the school of all ages. I notice on a daily basis that some children could be much more successful with a little more focused help. I have therefore considered offering extra tuition to support children who need a little extra help outside of school. I cover all areas of the primary curriculum and I am happy to discuss varying approaches based on the need of the child I am tutoring.

I am currently in my ninth year of teaching and have experience in years' 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. I have a good knowledge of assessment through the use of different formats including regular tests and ongoing teacher assessments. Since being in my role, I have taught a variety of topics and contributed to the wider ethos of the school. In my first three years of teaching, I was the Foreign Languages leader for the school and held a successful trip to Spain and a fantastic International week celebrating a range of different languages and cultures from around the world. Alongside my current teaching role, I am the Computing leader for the school. Since being in my role, I have made changes to the curriculum covered and took the lead on computing for the whole school. In addition, I am currently the leader of the year 6 residential trip, which provides some amazing opportunities for the children. I enjoy teaching the wide range of subjects in our curriculum and take pride in imparting knowledge through private tuition.

Initially, I will carry out some form of assessment to identify the ability of the child I am working with to ensure I can tailor my lessons accordingly.

I have carried out private tutoring for 6 years in total and seen many children make amazing progress in a variety of subjects. Each tutee I have tutored has had their lessons tailored to meet their individual needs to support the best progress possible.
