I'm Leah, an English Literature student from Cardiff looking to share her passion with fellow learners.
I believe confidence to be pivotal to educational success- which is why instilling the faith of students in their own abilities sits at the forefront of my approach. I strive to provide an enriching experience that impacts a student's self-esteem and resilience as well as their attainment.
I've been working as an English Literature and Creative Writing tutor since May 2019, a Sociology tutor since September 2019 and a Religious Studies tutor since August 2020 and have developed a number of successful working relationships through my practice.
Over the duration of my practice, I've honed the ability to cater my knowledge and teaching style to a diverse range of learners. I utilise the combination of a learner's own goals and an exam board's specifications to guide the approach I take to delivering educational content, techniques and advice.
As a student who has studied under the WJEC exam board, I'm well-acquainted with their specifications list for humanities subjects. I'm also an avid user of exam board specifications as a foundation for my teaching- believing them to provide students with clear instruction as to how they can elevate their work.
Each of the students I've tutored have displayed marked success in their ability to think critically, write imaginatively and channel these skills into both essay and narrative forms of writing.
