BSc (Hons) Human Nutrition and Dietetic Student at Glasgow Caledonian
My expertise lies in Chemistry, Biology Maths and French. These subjects are where I excel the most and have a great passion for! This passion extends to the education of others, and as a consequence, I have become a tutor as I thoroughly enjoy learning, and I believe that a strong education is a foundation for success, and I wish to help others build theirs! Certifications: • Harvard Health Publishing (Harvard Medical School): - Cognitive Fitness • Glasgow Kelvin College: - Health and Well-being Relevant Course Work: • Advanced Higher Biology: Creation of a written report, “The Structure and Cooperativity of Haemoglobin and Its Involvement with Health.” and developing practical skills in a laboratory and hospital setting. • HNC Applied Science (Chemistry): Physics, Biochemistry, Applied Biochemical Techniques, Fundamental Chemistry, Laboratory Skills for Science Industries, Organic Chemistry, Instrumental Techniques, Inorganic Chemistry, Science Industry: Key Issues, Mathematics for Science. Application Awards: Advanced Higher Biology, Higher Mathematics, Higher Music, National 5 Biology, National 5 Mathematics. Best Pupil Awards: Higher French, National 5 French, National 4 Computing.
Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have seen results from those I have tutored. I have taught Chemistry, Maths and French so far, and I have had great feedback from those I have taught! I recently guided someone through their National 5 French, where their predicted grade was a C and brought them up to an A. Furthermore, I volunteered in my senior year in High School teaching Maths and the Piano, where I earned an award for my work.
I assess where the student is unfamiliar with the course/subject and go through each unit, filling any gaps in knowledge. Throughout this, I create homework specific to the student to apply what they learn from me in lessons. This approach has had a significant effect and has been very influential on those I have taught so far.
I am incredibly familiar with how the SQA Exam board operates as this is where the majority, if not all, of my education, is from.
Those that I have helped in High School have always achieved high marks in their exams and become more confident in their ability with the subject they are struggling with.
