Throughout school, I achieved all 9s and 8s at GCSE and achieved A’s at A-level. Having completed these subjects recently, I understand the challenges students can face and how valuable clear explanations and effective study methods can be. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their abilities. I tailor sessions to each student’s needs, focusing on developing understanding, strengthening exam technique and helping students achieve their academic goals.

Although I have not had formal tutoring experience, I have regularly helped teach and support my younger siblings with their schoolwork and revision. Through this, I have developed patience, communication skills and the ability to explain difficult concepts in different ways depending on the student’s understanding. Being familiar with the current GCSE and A-level curriculum, I understand the demands of exams and the importance of combining strong subject knowledge with effective exam technique

I would plan lessons to suit each student individually rather than using the same approach for everyone. I would identify topics they find difficult, explain concepts in a clear and structured way, and include exam questions to check understanding and improve exam skills by highlighting the importance of mark schemes. I would also regularly review progress and adapt future sessions to ensure lessons remain effective and focused on the student’s goals.
