GEOFF L

I have taught French and Spanish from 1984 to GCSE and A level iincluding in secondary schools, primary schools, sixth form colleges and FE colleges. Since March 2019 I have also done private personal tutoring during this time for 11 plus, KS2, 3, 4 English, Maths and Science with mainstream students and LAC.

I have tutored at various points throughout my teaching career since 1984. I started tutoring on a more regular basis since 2014 and have taught the following subjects and levels: French and Spanish - beginners to GCSE and A level with primary pupils, secondary students and adult students 11 plus - English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal reasoning with KS2 pupils KS, 2, 3 and 4 learners in English, Maths and Science including those with SEND.

I start with something that has already been covered and use this as a basis and extend it to link to next topic. I structure my lesson to build up to a main activity to reinforce and practise the new lesson topic. This is followed with further practice. I set homework to follow this up and use this as a premise for the next lesson and to test whether of not this material is fully grasped before moving on.

I have experience of teaching, AQA, Edexcel, Eduquas and OCR in both languages to GCSE and A level.

I have achieved high pass rates including A* at GCSE and A level. I have had some students who achieve national bests at GCSE and A level.
