I am a English Literature BA Student at University seeking to help GCSE and A-Level students gain the grades they desire!
My teaching style will consist of working through the areas in which the student is struggling; whether that be close reading, essay writing or understanding and conceptualising texts. It’s a safe environment for the student and myself to take our time looking over content and focussing in on their strengths, as well as weaknesses!
I have not tutored previously
I will spend time on the texts we will focus on; in which I will research critical discourse, draw my own analysis and focus in on the areas the student will need to encounter. From here I will construct a plan of where we will first approach a text and where we want to end in that lesson.
I am familiar with the particularity of the exam board and am happy to research the mark schemes and criteria prior to lessons.
