I am an experienced biology tutor, with a strong background in ecology. I have tutored Nat 5 and Scottish Highers (biology and human biology) for 3 years, helping students achieve their academic goals. I have also completed a masters degree in ecology (with distinction), demonstrating my passion and expertise in this field. Additionally, I offer one to one lessons with clients who want to improve their study skills. In these lessons, we will review your current study plan and find the best method of study suited to your personality, learning style and goals. We will also create a vision board for motivation and a realistic week study plan that fits your life and schedule. You will also get access to various resources for studying, such as youtube videos, books, forums and more. This lesson is available at an hourly rate of 40£. It is designed to be only one lesson, however should the client need more time with me - this is also an option. 3 years experience with multiple students

Lessons are structured based on the students needs. If they need to go over a topic more than once, over a concept again, make some more notes together or do exam papers if an exam is coming up. During the lesson or at the end we will do a recap assessment to see what the student has retained and expose areas that need a bit more work or clarification. I do not usually set homework for students, as I believe the workload from school is heavy enough without additional work.

I have taken on several students thoughout the years, each of which I have helped build their confidence in this subject and in their abilities to tackle exams. I have brought on students that really struggled with biology to getting A's in their exams. I have shown students how to make note making fun, colourful, creative and given students good ways to remember difficult concepts or processes. Students mostly note on how I am great for explaining a difficult concept to them in a way that they understand better, taking the time to go through a topic slowly if needs be, providing really great memory aids and alternative resources and they like the notes I build with them.
