I am Abisayo. I am currently studying English literature, Politics, Economics and Maths at A-level with predicted grades A*A*A*A. I tutor people because I believe everyone is capable of reaching what they believe their academic potential is. The problem occurs when people cannot access this through schooling. After developing my own revision methods, and understanding my best teaching style, it only reinforced to me how education is different for every student, so it should be tailor-made to the individual. Every student has different ways of understanding and learning, and I believe I can help others to unlock their full academic potential too. NOTE TO YEAR 10 STUDENTS: this summer (July to September) I will be doing a crash course for core (and some optional) GCSE subjects. Message for further information.

For the past two years, I have been tutoring my peers and younger students to help them reach their academic potential. I individualise lessons and place a particular emphasis on memorisation techniques as well as just learning. This is so you will feel prepared for your exam. In particular, one student that I tutored had difficulty using their knowledge of key concepts in a way that would score marks in an exam. After identifying this problem, I worked with them to formulate a pattern to memorise and use these concepts so that they could maximise their marks each time. I have helped other students to reach their academic potential, and I can help you too!

Typically, I begin my lessons with memorisation techniques to solidify the content of the previous lessons. We would then move on to the core part of the lesson which is tailor-made to you, this would be the active learning part of the lesson. Finally, I would then outline homework or any other tasks. However, this session will be led by your needs. I am flexible to mould any part of this structure to suit your preferences, and you will still get the same results.
