Hey I am a maths student at university who is really passionate about teaching. Tutoring for KS3 GCSE and A Level Maths, as well as for S1 - S3 Nat 4 Nat 5 Higher and Advanced Higher Maths
I achieved as and a stars in maths at GCSE and A level. I often helped friends in maths when I was in college and secondary school and have been tutoring students privately for the past few months and am very friendly. I often struggled with maths when I was younger so know good techniques to help others who are struggling
I have over a years experience in tutoring. I am very passionate about tutoring as I want to become a maths teacher when I am older and work hard to make sure my students learn as effectively and comfortably as possible. I am confident to tutor all students of all levels including S1-S3,N4,N5 higher and advanced higher maths.
For first lesson with a new student I will usually have them do an assessment near their level to gage what they may need help on. From then on I will go through one by one what they are struggling on each lesson. My structure of these lessons would probably be me teaching the material and then showing them a practice example for the first half and then letting them do some practice questions which I can provide support on for the second half. If they are still struggling I set homework which I will then go through with them in the next lesson
I am familar with all exam boards including the scottish ones.
One past student achieved a 9 in maths while many others achieved between 5-7 in maths.
