Hello, my name is Stephanie. I have recently started a Primary education degree in order to fulfil my dream of being a teacher and to provide children with the support, encouragement, motivation and education that they need.

Over the past 5 years I have worked with a variety of children between the ages of 4-16 with a range of abilities including SEN children. For six months in 2020, I was a tutor at an all-boys private school in New Zealand this was an amazing experience! During the pandemic I have been doing virtual lessons which I have made fun and engaging. Because of the current climate, children are in need of extra support so I am open to lowering my rates.

Before any official lessons, I like to introduce myself and to highlight what you or your child(ren) would need to give them the best possible tuition and support. My lessons are flexible and can vary depending on what you prefer. Sometimes pupils need support and guidance for their homework, to cover class work they didn't fully understand, or to challenge them further and stretch their ability to its full potential. I feel that it is important to keep these lessons light-hearted and fun, whilst also allowing the children to learn. For the first lesson I like to get an insight of where the pupil struggles in the overall chosen subject. Asking how they feel about the individual components and seeing how well they understand it. This helps me to plan future lessons in order the understand where the pupil may need the most support and practice.
