As a qualified Zoologist, I also have a PGCE with QTS in Secondary School Science teaching all three sciences at GCSE and Biology at A Level, and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership. I am on my 4th year teaching in a High School, where I have been teaching both foundation and higher tier classes. I regularly undertake personal development courses to continually improve and advance on my teaching. It is my passion to teach science as there are many concepts which I find fascinating and thoroughly enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the world of science with my students.

As a high school science teacher I have the expertise and experience to teach all abilities and SEN. I teach GCSE combined science. GCSE triple science, A Level Biology and Btec science.

My lessons are planned to suit the needs and requirements of my students. My lessons are completely student lead and I will alter and plan them specifically for each pupil. Before every first lesson, I will take the time to get to know your needs to make sure you get the most out of the tuition. Lessons are exam based to ensure that students can apply all concepts confidently to exam questions. I will do this in a fun and engaging way but always end my lessons with past exam questions which we will work through together then discuss the mark scheme. Assessments throughout my lessons will ensure a thorough understanding which is important before moving on to the next topic.

AQA or WJEC exam board. I am willing to teach any exam board as I have access to their specific exam specifications.

All my students work to achieving the top of their ability and I will plan lessons to make sure they are excelling their target grade. However, my greatest achievement when I teach my subject is the confidence I see building in the students - which I find is my best success!!
