Hello, I'm Athanasios. I am a qualified secondary science teacher. I have been working in schools in the UK for the last 4 Years. I teach KS3 triple science, KS4 science (all three subjects, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as Combined Science and Triple Science) and A-Level Physics. I regularly undertake personal development courses to continually improve and advance my teaching. It is my passion to teach science as there are many concepts that I find fascinating and thoroughly enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for the world of science with my students.

I am a passionate and experienced tutor, committed to helping students to achieve the best results. I have got about 8 years of tutoring experience, online and in person and have tutored a lot of students who have achieved the grades they were aiming for, and higher. I am able to assist students in building their confidence, reaching their full potential, and stretching their abilities whilst maintaining high academic performances. I help students to grasp the concepts in Physics through real-world examples which enormously help them to understand the fundamentals and build their in-depth knowledge to develop their problem-solving skills to get higher grades in the exams. Also, I am able to cater to all of the major exam boards, especially AQA, Edexcel, and OCR.

My lessons are planned to suit the needs and requirements of my students. My lessons are completely student lead and I will alter and plan them specifically for each pupil. Before every first lesson, I will take the time to get to know your needs to make sure you get the most out of the tuition. Lessons can only be booked and paid for on Tutorspot, and once we agree the days and times for your lessons, I will send you the lesson reservation for you to accept, so your lessons can be booked. After you have accepted the lesson reservation, we can then arrange to have a 10/15 minute pre-first lesson consultation in the Tutorspot online classroom. Lessons are exam based to ensure that students can apply all concepts confidently to exam questions. I will do this in a fun and engaging way but always end my lessons with past exam questions which we will work through together then discuss the mark scheme. Assessments throughout my lessons will ensure a thorough understanding which is important before moving on to the next topic. Also homework will be assigned to the student and feedback will always be provided.
