I am a highly experienced physics and science teacher in a secondary school. I have tutored physics and science to all age groups from early secondary to adult learners . I can offer tutoring in the evenings, weekends and anytime on a Friday. I am a kind and patient teacher who enjoys supporting students to reach their potential. It is very rewarding to see the confidence of pupils improve as result of their efforts when helped along the way through individual tutoring.

I have 19 years teaching experience in the UK and abroad. I have taught GCSE, A level and IB, as well as all levels of the Scottish curriculum (BGE, N4/5, Higher, Advanced Higher). I am also an exam marker for the SQA. As qualified CELTA teacher I have experience in helping students whose first language is not English.

Before we start it is important that we establish the areas that require improvement. We can then create personalised lessons that will help you reach your goal. I will ensure that learning matches the specific outcomes of the curriculum and level you are working at. Exam preparation is an area that I have expertise in. As an exam marker I can give valuable insights into the approach you should be taking to specific types of questions. As an example, the plan could involve working through past paper questions together and providing models of good answers or helping you understand assignments and homeworks set by your school. If there are specific areas that you need to improve, I have many resources that we can use to help with your understanding.

I have taught students at GCSE and A level (AQA), IB Diploma and at all levels of the Scottish curriculum (SQA).

I have a track record of outstanding performance in the schools I have taught at and the overwhelming majority of my tutored students report that their performance improved dramatically as a result of my lessons.
